Accuphase E-800S and E-3000 Integrated Amplifiers Now On Demonstration

Accuphase E-800S and E-3000 Integrated Amplifiers

We now have both the flagship, E-800S and entry level E-3000 integrated amplifiers from Accuphase on permanent demonstration.

The E-800S is at the top of the tree of Accuphase’s integrated amplifier line. This amplifier boasts 50W per channel into 8 ohms of full Class A power, which is more than enough to drive most loudspeakers with ease – these are not the same as Class A/B watts! Retail is £14,000.

The entry level E-3000 has replaced the previous E-280 and E-380 models, and improved the performance over both of these. This gateway integrated into the Accuphase family is a beautifully built unit which partners so well with a large amount of loudspeakers that we carry. Retail is £5,700.

Both of these models have two option slots which take the AD-60 phono stage and DAC-60 DAC board. They also have built-in headphone amplifiers.

The E-800S is Accuphase’s flagship model that incorporates the full breadth of their accumulated knowledge on integrated amplifiers.

The preamplifier section incorporates a Balanced AAVA type volume control, while the power amp stage relies on an instrumentation amplifier principle and six-fold parallel push-pull configuration using power MOS-FETs driven in Class A, driving any loudspeakers to higher dimensions of sound.

Enjoy the blissful acoustic space provided during playback with the E-800S.

Integrated amplifier with fully balanced
configuration from input to output

Balanced AAVA type volume control

High-accuracy, high-rigidity volume sensor construction

Power amplification stage configured as an instrumentation amplifier

Six-fold parallel push-pull configuration using power MOS-FETs driven in Class A

Linear power output of 50W into 8 ohms, 100W into 4 ohms, or 200W into 2 ohms

High damping factor of 1,000

Strong power supply with massive high efficiency toroidal transformer and large filtering capacitors

Protection circuitry using MOS-FET switches

Speaker output protection circuit guards against short-circuiting

The E-3000 integrated amplifier emerged from the path forged by the technologies used in Accuphase’s high-end equipment.

Among this amplifier’s constituent elements, the vitally important volume control circuits incorporate AAVA that
employs the ANCC principle. The power amplifier section produces balanced signals relying on the instrumentation amplifier principle while simultaneously creating a robust output stage through three-fold parallel push-pull power transistors driven in class AB.

Every moment spent immersed in the vibrant playback of the E-3000 is one to relish.
