10X5 MKII – High Output Model
Dynavector’s entry level cartridge sets a high standard for moving coil cartridges. The finely wound coils give a substantial 2.5mV output and now features a hardened aluminium cantilever with a nude ‘Shibata III’ line contact stylus, allowing more music to flow from the grooves and making it’s tracking ability a doddle.
One of its beauties is that it is designed to be used with a ‘moving magnet’ phono input. This allows users to gain the benefit of moving coil sound without the extra expense of a specialised phono amplifier.
First released in 1978 and recipient of the prestigious (at the time) Design and Engineering Award at the Chicago CES in both 1978 and 1981. The new Dynavector 10X5 MKII MC cartridge presents a new benchmark in High Output MC cartridge performance not requiring a step-up device or MC phono preamplifier.

10X5 MKII MC Cartridge Stylus – Along with several exclusive Dynavector technologies that include Magnetic Flux Damping, Softened Magnetism (Patent) and powerful neodymium magnets that provide the smooth treble response Dynavector are renowned for.
The Dynavector 10X5 MKII also features an improved stylus assembly with the nude diamond “Shibata III” line contact stylus and improved hardened cantilever material. These improvements ensure secure tracking ability over even the most torturous of record grooves whilst achieving extended high frequency response and enhanced musical resolution.
The legendary Dynavector coil winding technology using the finest of wire has enabled the Dynavector 10X5 MKII to minutely increase the coil windings and achieve a reduction in impedance to 150 ohms whilst retaining a healthy 2.8mV output.
Mounting the cartridge to the tonearm is achieved by a rigid red aluminium head block that provides a stable platform for the cartridge along with easy and secure fixing to the tonearm.

The familia red body which has always been a feature of the 10X series which has undergone minor improvements has now been manufactured for more than forty years.It represents Dynavectors most popular ever model, favoured by music lovers and audiophiles all over the world.

The magnetic flux damping and softened magnetism along with the powerful neodymium magnet gives the DV 10X5 LOW a robust 0.5mV output.
The DV 10X5 LOW will be compatible with most head amplifiers or step- up transformers making the DV10X5 LOW a first choice low output MC cartridge.
