George, our main Linn expert, is going to be joined by Linn’s Brand Ambassador and Trainer, Gordon Inch.

The main demonstration room will have the 150 floorstanding speaker driven in Exakt aktiv mode with a Selekt DSM as the streaming amplifier – the DSM will have 3 x amplifiers & 3 x DACs to allow for full active operation.

Upstairs we’ll be featuring the stand mount 119 speaker, which will be run passively.

George and Gordon will guide you through these new products. They will allow you to experience the systems firsthand, deconstruct the Selekt DSM, discuss its modularity, and demonstrate a quick build / upgrade of a unit.

Linn 150 floorstanding speakers: £5500
Linn’s first loudspeaker release since the 360 (April 2023), the 150 sits perfectly in their Selekt range and more than holds its own in this competitive “sub-£10K” sector. Whether driven with a Linn Selekt or any of our other brands, we’ve been knocked out by the scale and the transparency of these beautifully finished speakers.

And as with all Linn loudspeakers, then can be driven in “passive” mode, biamped, triamped or, for the very best experience, Exakt Aktiv.

Linn 119 standmount speakers: £2500
The final release from Eaglesham of 2024, we were delighted that the 119 loudspeakers arrived no larger than the outgoing 109. Significantly heavier both in mass and in their musical performance though, we’re struggling to think of a loudspeaker that comes close to the 119, again for their scale, slam and transparency. Whether driven from a Linn or from any of our other electronics the 119 really deliver a sound that belies their size. Accordingly, they can be driven passive, biamped or fully Exakt Aktiv.

Linn Selekt DSM: from £5650 to £17965
The modern, modular classic. Launched in 2019 and joined by the premium Selekt Edition in 2022, the latest 2024 Classic features a heavyweight chassis, facelifted screen in addition to optimised headphone and subwoofer outputs.

All of the Selekts are customisable with a range of performance level DACs (standard, Katalyst or Organik) and the amplifier features that you specify – streamer only – or with one, two, or three amplifier modules driving your speakers in passive or Exakt Aktiv mode where the speakers’ internal crossovers are bypassed for the digital one within the Selekt. They can even have surround sound modules.
