Ian and Harvey set up the Solo 500s in our main downstairs demo room the week before last with a matching Klimax DSM streaming preamplifier – all sitting on our Quadraspire X-Reference rack into our demonstration Wilson Audio The WATT/Puppy loudspeakers.

Even from cold, straight out of the box they knew they were in for a treat. By the following day, the system had really come on song.

The treble is sweet while retaining attack and the bass digs deep while maintaining control. The amps feel capable and powerful and we would be confident partnering them with even the most difficult of speaker loads. They’re delicate and precise on quieter passages – full of drive and energy on louder pieces.
