Audio Origami’s hugely-anticipated, limited edition PU7 TiS tonearm is here!
Our very good friend and turntable legend John Nilsen personally delivered the world’s first demonstration TiS (titanium and stainless steel) a couple of weeks ago and we have been swooning over it since.
A Limited Edition, extra special version of the terrific PU7 Ti, the TiS model uses stainless steel in carefully selected areas as well as a number of other clever refinements.
The arm tube material remains Titanium, but is highly polished to match the aesthetics of the polished stainless steel bellhousing, caps and base plate. The arm is threaded to allow fine adjustment of the counterweight, which now contains a (protected) screw for locking in place.
The extra mass of stainless steel increases overall arm weight, pushing the boundaries of what the tonearm/cartridge can retrieve from vinyl grooves on a Sondek LP12 suspension turntable. This extra mass also lends itself perfectly for use with high end cartridges such as Koetsu, Linn and Dynavector MCs.
The aluminium headshell is available in silver or black and the arm clip and arm cue are also both now aluminium instead of plastic, so look better and are more robust.
The results we’ve had listening tests have been outstanding. If you’re a serious LP12 enthusiast, you need to hear this.
