We are thrilled to invite you to a special showcase of ‘Spain’, Graeme Duffin’s debut solo album, played in full on Linn’s flagship system in the sumptuous Linn Home listening suites in Waterfoot, Glasgow and with an in-depth chat and Q&A from Graeme and special guests.
Best known to many as ‘the guitarist in Wet Wet Wet’, Graeme has long yearned to record this Jazz/Flamenco-influenced project, and lockdown gave him the time and freedom he needed to fulfil his ambition. Graeme lives for music and is a technically brilliant performer, producer and arranger with half a century of experience working with equally talented musicians. It’s no surprise then that ‘Spain’ is such an engaging and passionate album.
‘Spain’ features Graeme on guitar, Paul Harrison on piano, Colin Cunningham on bass guitar and guest contributions from Martin Taylor (guitar), Ewen Vernal (bass), Seonaid Aitken (violin), Andrew Robinson (guitar), Matt Holland (trumpet) and Jamie Anderson (sax) and songs by Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Luis Bonfá and more, plus two penned by Graeme himself.
It’s an album brimming with exquisite musicianship, bright and energetic and a definite toe-tapper! And where better to host our evening than at another Scottish success story – Linn.
Set in a greenfield site in Glasgow’s southside, the Linn Home sits side-by-side with Linn’s world-class manufacturing facility, where some of the world’s finest hi-fi is made. If you have never visited the home of this audio engineering giant, now is your chance. ‘Spain’ will sound incredible on Linn’s reference music system.
We will be joined on the night by a couple of special guests of Graeme’s to join in the chat and Q&A.
The evening begins at 7pm, light refreshments provided (thanks Linn!) and we expect places to fill quickly so please book early at:
